Kennywood is a true American classic. Since 1898, generations of Pittsburghers have spent countless hours at this amusement institution. The park features the best of old and new meshed together with beautiful landscaping, and magical atmosphere. Several theme parks try to feel like Kennywood. Kennywood just *is*.

Mark Rosenzweig (whispers) > Up bright and early, this was going to be a very full Kennywood day. KennyKon 17 offered early morning ERT on Phantom's Revenge, Swing Shot, and Exterminator, and evening ERT on Jack Rabbit.

Mark Rosenzweig (whispers) > The new for 2006 S&S Power Swing Shot (Screamin Swing 32) was having start up problems. It eventually opened, but only ran one side all day. It has proven to have been a great addition to the park with great a great placement right up on the road.

Mark Rosenzweig (whispers) > Pitt Fall opened in 1997 as the tallest drop ride on the planet at 251 ft.

Mark Rosenzweig (whispers) > Exterminator opened in 1998. It is essentially an enclosed Reverchon Spinning Coaster with thematic touches.

Mark Rosenzweig (whispers) > Directly next to Exterminator is the park's huge Mangels Whip. Only a handful of 16 tub models were ever made. A few years back a freak windstorm toppled the ride's pavilion.

Mark Rosenzweig (whispers) > This picnic pavilion near the Log Jammer was the home for the park's Whip prior to Lost Kennywood opening in 1995.
